On this page, you will find the instructions for most of the IFP products. They are the same instructions that were formerly included with each order. You can refer to them here, or you may print the instructions that you need.
Eyes So Pretty Nourishing Elixir Once or twice daily, apply 1 drop to fingertip and dot under both eyes. Massage gently. You can use more or less needed. May be diluted for easier application & quicker absorption. **DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO NUTS** Shelf life: 4-6 months
I’ll Get You (Lines), My Pretty Apply twice daily. These products are watery gels and a little goes a long way. Spot treat any lines/wrinkles with a drop or two. The Line Smoother works best on areas that have lines/wrinkles due to repetitive facial movements – like the forehead, between the eyebrows, laugh lines at the outer corners of the eyes, and nasolabial folds. You can use more or less as needed. I find that a light coat absorbs better & more quickly. Massage the product on gently & allow it to absorb. Follow the rule of thinnest products first. If you are using a BHA or AHA product, that should be applied first, then wait 30 minutes before applying anything else. What you apply next depends upon what you are using – CPs, antioxidant, and this product are all about the same consistency, so it doesn’t really matter which is applied first. Any oils, moisturizers, pearl creams, etc. should be applied last. These products are not moisturizers. If you normally use a moisturizer, you will want to continue to do so. The I'll Get You (Lines), My Pretty and Oh So Pretty Line Eraser do not provide immediate results. Studies show that their active ingredients take an average of 1-2 months to cause visible changes. With the Oh So Pretty Line Smoother, you may feel a ‘tightening’ sensation upon application – this is normal. Results usually aren’t visible for at least two weeks, with maximum results at about 2 months. Results are cumulative. Once you get the desired results, you may find you don’t need to apply every day to maintain them. Although these products may be used in the eye area, apply carefully – do not get them in your eyes. Always remember to wear sunscreen – there has been some evidence that Matrixyl can cause increased sun sensitivity. If you notice any itching or irritation, stop using the product immediately. It’s always best to do a ‘test’ spot on the back of your neck prior to using the product all over your face when using a new product to see if you develop any irritation. Shelf life: 6-8 weeks
Not Just Another Pretty Face Clarifying Facial Serum Not Just Another Pretty Face Hydrating Facial Serum Not Just Another Pretty Face Rejuvenating Facial Serum Clarifying, Hydrating, & Rejuvenating Facial Serums may be applied straight from the bottle or diluted with Fresh & Pretty Facial Spritz. Diluting with the facial spritz or applying to damp skin allows the oil to go on evenly without tugging on the skin. Roll bottle gently between palms or tip upside down gently 2-3 times to disperse oils. Then remove cap, tip bottle upside down over cupped palm, & put 2-6 drops into hand. This may take several seconds, as the oil is fairly thick. There is an orifice reducer in the top of the bottle which will allow the oil to come out one drop at a time. Next, gently shake facial spritz & spray 2-5 times into palm with the oil. Gently mix oil & spritz with your fingertip, or rub palms together lightly & pat oil on face. It’s best to start with a smaller amount of oil & spritz - you can always add more if needed. Eventually, you’ll learn what amount is right for your skin - and that may change from day to day or season to season. The oil should be completely absorbed by your skin within 10 minutes - your face should feel soft, but not oily. If it is still oily, you applied too much. You can remove the excess oil with an oil blotting sheet or by gently pressing a tissue to your skin. However, if your face still feels tight & dry, you may need to add a couple more drops of oil & spritz. Any excess oil left on your hands can be applied to your neck, chest, and/or hands. It is perfectly fine to use the oil around your eyes - underneath & on eyelids. Just as with any other facial product, do not get too close to your eye. The oil will *migrate* some as it warms to your body temperature. For nighttime use, after applying the oil & spritz to your face, you may want to take an additional drop & pat it around your eyes. One drop should be enough for both eyes, but if you find you need more, that’s fine. Like any product you use on your skin, there is always a possibility that the oil may cause irritation. It’s always best to apply a *test* spot - perhaps on your neck or forehead - just a small area that you can check after 24 hours to see if there is any untoward reaction. Shelf life: 4-6 months **SOME OF THESE PRODUCTS CONTAIN NUT OILS - PLEASE READ THE INGREDIENT LIST CAREFULLY IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO NUTS**
Pretty As Can Be Healing Serum Pretty As Can Be Healing Serum should should be applied straight from the bottle, and only to areas where there is a breakout (or where you feel a breakout starting). Roll bottle gently between palms or tip upside down gently 2-3 times to disperse oils. Then remove cap, tip bottle upside down over your fingertip, & put 1 drops on it. This may take several seconds, as the oil is fairly thick. There is an orifice reducer in the top of the bottle which will allow the oil to come out one drop at a time. Gently massage the Healing Serum into the affected area, trying to keep it off the surrounding skin. Repeat as necessary for other areas. This is a stronger serum & shouldn't be used all over the skin. It may cause dryness & flaking, which can be gently exfoliated & then moisturized with one of the facial serums. Like any product you use on your skin, there is always a possibility that the oil may cause irritation. It’s always best to apply a *test* spot - perhaps on your neck or forehead - just a small area that you can check after 24 hours to see if there is any untoward reaction. Do not use near eyes. Shelf life: 4-6 months
For maximum exfoliating benefits, apply to freshly washed skin if pH of cleanser is 5.5 or less. If pH of cleanser is higher than 5.5, it is best to wait 30 minutes before applying the BHA/AHA (the pH of the IFP Pure & Pretty cleansers is about 5.5). After applying the BHA/AHA, it is generally best to wait 30 minutes before applying any other products. There are no 'bad' effects if you apply the BHA/AHA right after a cleanser with a higher pH and/or don't wait 30 minutes before applying anything else. You just won’t get maximum exfoliation benefits. You can apply the BHA/AHA with a cotton pad, but I like to apply it with my bare hands. By applying it in this manner, I don’t waste any solution, and it all goes directly on my skin for maximum benefits. Just use enough to put a thin layer on the skin.
It is not uncommon to notice
increased acne/breakouts after starting BHA products. This is
because the BHA is clearing the skin from the inside out. After 3-4
weeks, this should lessen. If breakouts are severe, try using the
product less frequently, if that doesn't help, you should stop using
it completely.
If you have not used a BHA product before, you should start with
the 2% product, and only apply every other day - or even every
second day. If you notice some dryness and/or flaking, just reduce
the frequency of application. If you are accustomed to BHA products,
and are starting with the 5% product, you still may want to use it
only every other day at first. If you notice any itching or irritation, stop using the product
immediately. It is always best to do a “test” spot on the back of
your neck to see if you develop any irritation prior to using the
product on your face. These products also work well in reducing/eliminating those red
bumps you get from waxing/shaving the bikini area. You can apply
right after shaving/waxing. You may find that it works best when you
apply a small amount daily. It can also reduce/eliminate red
bumps/ingrown hairs that men get on their faces from shaving. Daily
application after shaving should keep skin smooth. If you’re using these products for keratosis pilaris, then you
can apply once or twice daily to clean skin - but wait 30 minutes
before applying any moisturizer, etc. Do not get the BHA in your eyes. Always protect your skin with a
good broad-spectrum sunscreen. Shelf life: At least 1 year, possibly longer if not opened.
Pretty Amazing Plus 2% BHA/4% AHA liquid Pretty Amazing Plus 5% BHA/10% AHA liquid IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ!! I do not recommend these products unless you have already been using either a BHA or AHA product for at least one month. I recommend starting with the 2% BHA/4% AHA product and using it for at least one month before advancing to the 5% BHA/10% AHA product. I recommend using these product every other day or every second day - especially at first. Even after you are used to them, I still recommend using them on an every other day basis. They can be alternated with a plain BHA solution. For maximum exfoliating benefits, apply to freshly washed skin if
pH of cleanser is 5.5 or less. If pH of cleanser is higher than 5.5,
it is best to wait 30 minutes before applying the BHA/AHA (the pH of
the IFP Pure & Pretty cleansers is about 5.5). After applying the

Pretty Easy Eye Makeup Remover Moisten a cotton pad with
warm water, then squeeze to remove excess water. Press pump 2-4
times to dispense oil onto pad. Fold pad over once to help
distribute the oil evenly, then reopen the pad & apply to eye area.
Hold pad in place over eye for a few seconds, then gently wipe away
makeup. Repeat for other eye. Also works well for removing heavy liquid makeup or makeup that contains silicones. Press pump 3-4 times to dispense oil into palm, then apply to face. Massage gently, leave on face for a couple of minutes, then remove gently with tissue. Then wash face as usual with cleanser. Shelf life: 4-6 months **THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS NUT OILS**
The consistency of this product is similar to a whipped cream and you may find that you need to stir the product a bit from time to time. It can be applied with or without water. If you like a more moisturizing cream, I recommend you apply it straight from the jar. If you prefer a lighter cream with more of a mattifying finish, then I recommend you use a smaller amount of the cream & apply it with a little water. There are several ways to do this:· Dampen your face with water, then quickly & lightly apply a half pea-sized amount of the Pearlfection Cream. A thin coat works best.· Get a half pea-sized amount of Pearlfection Cream on your fingertip, then wet your finger with a gentle stream of water (you don't want to wash the cream off your finger, you just want to moisten it), and quickly apply a thin layer to face (can also be applied to neck & chest if desired). A thin coat works best.· Put a half pea-sized amount of Pearlfection cream in your palm, add a few drops of water, mix together, then apply a thin layer to face. A thin coat works best.I find the third method to be the easiest, but whatever works for you is fine. Remember - the key is to apply a THIN layer of the Pearlfection Cream - more is not better if you want a matte finish. If additional moisturization is desired, another moisturizer may be applied on top of the Pearlfection Cream, but allow the Pearlfection Cream to absorb well first. It is normal for your skin to feel ‘tight’ for a few minutes after applying the Pearlfection cream – it is not drying your skin – this is the way the pearl powder feels as it tightens your skin & clears your pores. Shelf life: 4-6 weeks
Put 1-2 pumps of product in palm & use fingertips to apply very thin layer to the face. You can also apply to neck & chest, if desired. Do not dilute product with water. A thin coat works best. When container seems empty, tap bottom firmly (but carefully) on counter – this will bring more product down to the bottom of the container where it can be reached by the pump. I do NOT recommend this product for anyone who can't tolerate silicones. Shelf life: 2 months
I recommend applying this product with a fluffy makeup brush. Sprinkle a small amount of powder (think of sprinkling cinnamon on a latte) on a plate or small bowl, smoosh the brush into the powder, tap off the excess, then dust lightly on the face. Repeat as needed. For best mattifying results, I recommend applying right before your makeup. It can also be used to dust lightly over foundation – like a finishing powder. Or if you have a loose powder foundation or finishing powder, you can mix some of the Pearlfection Powder with that before applying. You can also use it to ‘touch up’ later in the day – just use a light hand & a fluffy brush. Shelf life: 2 months - longer if kept tightly closed.
Pretty Quick Dry Clean Shampoo Divide hair into sections and shake bottle to apply a small amount of powder to the roots. You can also sprinkle powder into your palm, rub hands together, & then apply to hair. Massage into roots. A small amount of powder works best. Brush hair to remove traces of the powder. For use on dry hair only - will not work on wet hair. Results may very depending upon the styling products you may already have on your hair. Shelf life: Indefinite if uncontaminated
Pure & Pretty Clarifying Cleanser Remove eye makeup & dampen face with water. Apply
3-5 pumps of cleanser to dampened palms (or whatever you use to wash
your face) & rub together gently. Cleanser will foam just a little.
Apply to face - wash as usual, rinse, repeat if desired. Cleanser
will foam more the second time. Shelf life: 4-6 months
What A Pretty (Sunless) Tan! Facial Self-Tanner You can apply this product with your bare hands, gloved hands, velour puff, or however else you like to apply your facial tanner. This product has a thin liquid consistency - it is not a lotion or a gel - so take that into consideration when deciding upon your application method. You can apply one coat, two coats, or more. The product contains 10% DHA, so you can use that to judge how much you might need. Remember to not get the product into your eyes. Even though there are no added fragrances or dyes, you may want to do a test spot on the back of your neck or on your forehead before applying to your entire face. Just apply a small amount to a quarter-sized area and leave it on for at least 6-8 hours. Check the spot after 24 hours to see if there is any redness or irritation. If you have any redness, itching, or irritation, you should not use the product all over your face. Please remember that this product does not contain any added fragrance, so there is a good chance that you will notice a slight DHA odor while the tan develops. Also remember that this product was developed for those who have problems with self-tanners causing breakouts. So it’s not a moisturizing product – and it doesn’t contain all of the penetrants & emollients that a lot of self-tanners contain. You may notice that the product is slightly drying to your skin (so if your skin tends to be dry, you may need to apply more moisturizer than usual) – or that it doesn’t tan quite as dark as other 10% products (so you may need to apply 1-2 more coats) – this is because it doesn’t contain certain ingredients. What I’m hoping is that by leaving those ingredients out – you will be able to tan your face without suffering breakouts.
If you do decide to use this product on larger areas of your body, I
highly recommend using a microfiber carpad - and spraying the tanner
directly onto the pad before applying. You will find a picture of

Shelf life of the self-tanner is 4-6 months, maybe longer if kept in a cool, dark place or the refrigerator.
